Overnight Grind : Market Makers VS Sharps June 10, 2022

While most of us are sleeping, Market Makers and Sharps are adjusting the markets so that by the time we wake up and are ready to bet, the markets have adjusted in favour of the sportsbook. Let's take a quick look at some games where the sportsbooks had to make some adjustments based on heavy sharp interest.

Market Makers are sportsbooks that are the first to post a line and set the market. They will control risk by setting their bet limits lower when posting a spread or Moneyline before everyone else. Once the market adjusted, they max their bet limits. Talbot has been hot and won his last 8 starts but don't discount Jarry he's been solid this year.

RECAP: Sharps swept their 3 plays yesterday with ease. The under in the hockey was a winner and so was the under in the Rays game and Cleveland moneyline.

Many are pretty hyped for game 4 between the Warriors and Celtics and for good reasons. In game 3, close to 1.1 million was wagered at the book and before tip-off, 51% of the handle was on the Warrior. Close to 500k was wagered on the total, and 68% of the handle was on the over. The story is tonight's game is simple. One set of sharps was on the Celtics at -3 and another set on the Warriors at +4. The line is still at -4, the max bet limits are at 33k and the book is ready for business. As for the total, the book is not too comfortable yet and capped the max bet at 5.5k. We have sharps on the opposite side of the totals. The over was initially steamed at the book however late last night we saw some important under-money coming in pushing the handle to 80% on the under. Last game I mentioned the over would hit if Boston would get their scoring of secondary scoring. Well, it happened. My lean is on the under.

It's a very busy slate in baseball and the sharp report will be jammed with plays. The Phillies are once again a target from the sharps. Since firing their coach they've played some better baseball and the sharps found value in them at -125. The last time Gallen was pitching the VIPs had a play on Arizona but he got zero run support and lost 3-0 to the Pirates. The Phillies are on a 7 game-winning streak and have taken care of pitchers suck has Burns, House and Rodon during this winning streak. Not sure they will be intimidated by Gallen. My model has the Phillies at -135 and I support the sharp interest in this game.

Good luck today
