So, right off the bat, Chelsea sticks out in @statsational 's soccer model to the tune of a whopping 16% edge. Chelsea, the home side, is coming off a shocking 4-1 loss in the EPL to promoted side Brentford with all of the game's goals coming in the 2nd half "one Chelsea goal, followed by four Brentford". Perhaps they were looking ahead to this game at that point? Either way, a bit of an anomaly, generally they have been playing low-scoring games and had won their last six and 12/13 "with no losses during that span, only a Carabao Cup Draw vs Liverpool". They have scored in their last 16 matches going all the way back to a 1-0 loss to Man City. As for Real Madrid, they have been up and down a bit, winning last week vs a middling Celta Vigo side with near-identical game stats and the goals from penalties. A couple of weeks ago they had an embarrassing 4-0 loss to a newly reborn Barcelona side with Ferran Torres/Aubameyang. That all said, many of Chelsea's low-scoring W's came against weaker competition "in some cases England lower level and international lower level". Aside from the Barcelona match, over their last seven games, Real Madrid has scored two, three, three, four, one, and three goals in those games so w Benzema et al RM should be able to get on the board. As a result, my bet is BTTS to score although if picking a side, I'd agree with the model w a Chelsea lean.
