We will add new sports and models as we build the app and make it more robust. While our developers work on that, we want to give you as much information as possible via content and articles.

I will post my MLB. NFL and NHL models as often as possible.

Reading the model is very simple. We are looking for EVs of over 5% on sides and 8 to 10% on totals. Sportsbooks tend to inflate lines on big favorites. I love to take a big underdog in those spots if they have a good pitcher on the mount and the game is on home turf.

You should all play around with these and track them yourselves. See if you are seeing those with a significant edge losing often.

NHL BETTING MODEL FOR MAR 8, 2023

The totals have been disappearing as of late with another loss yesterday with the Leafs game going over 6.5 while the model was strong on the under.

After seeing some big upsets on Monday, the favorites went 7-3 yesterday and the 3 losses were small dogs with decent chances of winning. The Flames and Leafs were 2 dogs that had tough matchups and prevailed with the win.

Tonight we have a 3 game slate and I welcome the small slate. I took a beating in DFS yesterday therefore I'll be taking the night off from it. We have 2 big favorites on the board and both of those teams haven't been dominant this year which increases the probability of an upset.

The 3rd game is should be a good one between the Wild and the Jets. I expect a low-scoring game a la Flames like yesterday. The Jets under is 13-24 on a one-day rest while the Wild's road games only average just above 5 goals per game. The model has this total projected at 5.28 so there is not much value.

The home team is 21-9 in the last 29 meetings and this gives a bump to the Jets since the Wild are on a b2b, had to travel overnight, and played in OT yesterday. However, Winnipeg only won 2 of their last 10 games and has been terrible allowing close to 4 GA/G while their season average is 2.80, and ranks 10th in defensive metrics. It's a hard one to cap but if I had to pick id to pick the hottest team which is the Wild who hasn't lost in regulation in their last 10 games and has allowed on avearage 1.20 GA/G during that stretch.
