Reading the model is very simple. We are looking for EVs of over 5% on sides and 8 to 10% on totals. Sportsbooks tend to inflate lines on big favorites. I love to take a big underdog in those spots if they have a good pitcher on the mount and the game is on home turf.You should all play around with these and track them yourselves. I know I know, only 2 games tonight, and both are super high favorites. We will take the day off from the NHL and start looking at tomorrow's games since it's a huge slate!
I cleaned up in cash games in DFS last night but it was another weird slate. The road teams stole the show going 8-3. The Sabres were valued but I wrote about not agreeing based on the Stars offense being on the up tic and they scored 10 on the Sabres. The Kings came into Colorado hot but I didn't expect them to win but they did. I questioned if the Bruins were too rested and the Oilers surprised many by winning 3-2. SJ and PHI were on limited rest and they both lost. I offered the Coyotes as the underdog play of the night and they won 4-1. The underdogs went 6-5 and the sharp report was right on the Sens.
I doubt any underdogs have a chance to win tonight and I am expecting blowouts in both games. I would parlay both favs in regulation and get the parlay at almost even money.
