Brycen Hopkins is a tight end for the defending superbowl champions, the LA RAMS. He's played in only two games in his career. An uneventful regular season game against the Seahawks, and the other being the biggest game you can play in, the superbowl.

Brycen Hopkins got 4 targets and secured all 4 for 47 yards. This is the second most receptions next to Cooper Kupp. For someone to be trusted on the grand stage, you must have the coach's trust. This seemingly came out of nowhere, as there was little to no experience, and Kendall Blanton was set to be the next tight end up.

This all tells me that they seen flashes in Hopkins and they've had all offseason to truly work him out and improve in areas where he was clearly lacking in. Coach McVay has commented positively on his blocking, which allows for a higher number of snaps, and for us, more opportunities to catch a touchdown.

Here's why I think LA really believes in Hopkins. Gerald Everett left a hole in the TE2 position last year and yet... tight end prospects Kendall Blanton and Jacob Harris were both cut over the Summer. Interesting...

We all know that Sean McVay is as creative as they come. We know that there's virtually ZERO film tape on Hopkins. Buffalo is forced to game plan around defending Cooper Kupp & Allen Robinson and they've been known to give up some garbage time touchdowns to tight ends.

Maybe... just maybe... our boy Hopkins has a chance to take the world by surprise. And this is the only time you'll be able to capitalize on these odds because once the cat is out of the bag, you can bet the sportsbooks are going to adjust.
