NFL Power Rankings: Week 5

As we wrap up Week 5 of the 2024 NFL season, the power rankings are starting to take shape and reveal which teams are true contenders. Here's how things stand after the latest slate of games:

  1. Minnesota Vikings (5-0) The Vikings remain atop the rankings with their perfect 5-0 record. Their offense continues to fire on all cylinders and they look like the team to beat in the NFC.

  2. Kansas City Chiefs (5-0) The Chiefs made a big jump up to the #2 spot this week. While their offense has been solid, it's actually their defense that has carried them so far. Currently rated as the top defense in the league, the Chiefs D has been dominant. Their rise in the rankings is also due to the strength of their wins looking more impressive as the season progresses.

  3. Baltimore Ravens (4-1) The Ravens offense remains one of the most explosive in the NFL, ranking #1 overall.

  4. Washington Commanders (4-1) The Commanders have been one of the biggest surprises of the season so far. Rookie QB Jayden Daniels has been sensational, leading Washington to a 4-1 start. The Commanders offense ranks 2nd in the league behind only Baltimore.
