What a week I had last week! I went up close to 19 units, and because of the success, I am again raising my unit size. I had some big wins last week, including Hoosier's money line on the road at Purdue and TCU ML holding on at the last second to beat a tough Texas Tech team on the road. Saturday's article went 4-2, and my picks on my Instagram went 2-0. On Sunday, my choices went 2-1 in CBB and hit a massive bet with the FD odds boost on Rangers -1.5. As February is ending, I went up close to 31 units this month, and I am very excited about going to arguably the best month of the year!
Some great games on today's slate:
Iowa vs. Indiana: Both teams are coming off huge wins this following weekend. First, Iowa had a 0.003 chance to win on Saturday with 2 minutes remaining and pulled off one of the most remarkable comebacks in college basketball history. Kris Murray follows suit of what his brother built at Iowa, averaging 20 and 8. Iowa can also shoot the ball. Everyone on their starting lineup and main rotation are shooting over 30% from 3, and even when their three-ball goes quiet, once they find it, it is game over. Michigan State learned the hard way by having a near 100% chance of winning and losing the game on Saturday. Iowa is ranked 44th in the Kenpom but has the fifth-best offense in the country. Haslametrics has them as the sixth-best offense as well.
The Hoosiers are coming off a massive win for the program and bringing Indiana basketball back to its glory days. But on Saturday, they won in an unprecedented way to Indiana basketball recently. Purdue has two more turnovers than IU, outrebounded by 16, and held Trayce Jackson-Davis to 10 and 8, yet, the Hoosiers won by 8. A massive performance from freshman phenom Jalen Hood-Schifino and the emergence of Miller Kopp and Trey Galloway helped lift the Hoosiers over Purdue. It gave them control of the state of Indiana for 2023. The Hoosiers are one of the scariest teams to play in March if they are consistent. If the offense and defense are playing well, it will be a long day for many teams in the tournament.
My betting model predicts the Hoosiers to win by 5.2, which is consistent with the 5.5-point spread at which Vegas has set the line. I will be taking IU -5.5.
Other games I will be betting on tonight:Villanova vs. Seton Hall: Seton Hall MLLipscomb vs. Stetson: Stetson MLClemson vs. Virginia: Virginia -5.5SDSU vs. Boise State: SDSU ML
