This season has been absolutely crazy so far, and the 76ers absolutely dominated the Lakers in the city of brotherly love; it was a smacking. Embiid and Maxey are the real deal, for sure. My PRO play of the day, Washington +3.5, also cashed easy, and anyone who bet on the Detroit Pistons to win a basketball game makes me laugh!

Juicy matchups are all over the place, but none might be juicier than the one we’re going to highlight today, as the Oklahoma City Thunder travel to Minnesota to take on the Timberwolves. This game pits the top two teams in the West against each other to see who will take a lead; if the Thunder win, they are then tied for the #1 Seed in the West. If the Wolves win, they’re ahead by two games. CRAZY! 

The Sharp App Money Handles tool clearly favors one side, as one side has over 80% of all bets - and that’s the Thunder. But where’s the money at? That actually belongs to Minnesota, who own 80% of the total money handle. That means that there’s a difference of over 60% in these two numbers - and Sharp App AI agrees - so we’re riding with the home team tonight.

And why wouldn’t we? They’re the hottest team in the league and they’re favored by less than five to a team in outside-of-basketball-turmoil. The Wolves are 7-1 on their home court. They have the best home defense in the league when it comes to field goal percentage and three-point percentage. And they hold their opposition to 100 points at home, good for third-best in the league. Sheesh. 

These Thunder are no slouches, though, as they can score the ball. But they’ve had a lot of trouble keeping up the pace they maintained early in the season, as they start strong and finish strong, but are a below-average scoring team when it comes to quarters 2 & 3. The Thunder are also the best road defense in the league, making this a tough defensive matchup in a game that should be tightly contested. The Thunder also struggle with rebounding on the defensive side of the ball, where the Wolves can thrive. 

Overall though, we have to trust the Money Handles tool. Anthony Edwards is looking like a top-five player in the league, and the towers of Rudy Gobert and Karl Anthony-Towns have proved fruitful for the Wolves. Let’s take the Timberwolves by more than 4.
