RECAP: It’s been a few days since our last NBA of the Day, as we’re preparing for the MLB season and getting ready to put a cap on the NBA season. We’ve finally hit over 50 units of profit this season, as the goal was always 40 units. We’ve surpassed that by a mile, and we’re feeling good about the rest of the NBA season, because it’s all change if we keep building.

The Golden State Warriors are looking more dangerous than ever this season, and we’re building towards a Lakers/Warriors matchup in the Play-In Tournament (if the script-writers are correct)... but tonight, they’re looking to solidify themselves within the playoffs with a win over the Memphis Grizzlies. Let’s look at the stats that are going to try and make that happen.
Our Money Handles tool is the first that I’ll look at, as we’re seeing the difference that we want to. We have 30% of the betting on the spread on the Warriors this morning, but we’re seeing 77% of the money handle on this side – leaving us with a difference of 47%. This fits the criteria perfectly, and is exactly what we’re looking for in a bet, especially early in the morning.
The line has hovered around this 9.5/10 all morning since the line dropped, and we’re seeing Memphis on the two sides of the Sharp Report that we love to see: Memphis +10 is both a public-sided bet and a book liability, meaning that we have two tallies to fade this Memphis team, which is exactly what we’re going to be doing.
While Golden State isn’t necessarily the most lockdown of teams at home, Memphis is one of the worst teams on the road, and they’ve struggled to cover on the road. They’re susceptible to the blowout, and the Warriors can score out of the gym, as they’re averaging 112 points per game over their last five, and Memphis is allowing 114. The Grizz are averaging only 104 points per game over their last five, and should be able to be locked down by this Golden State defense.
Let’s take the Golden State Warriors to continue their trek towards the playoffs tonight as they take on the lowly Grizzlies, who are below .500 against the spread on the season. Golden State by ten.
PICK: Golden State Warriors -9.5
