RECAP: What a tough game yesterday when it comes to the Magic, as they decided to not play the second half of the game and they got trounced by the Hawks. What hurt even more was that our handles let us down, going 1-3 on our NBA bets for the day, with our only win being the under in OKC. Even that game was a sweat and a half! We’re on to today, and we have to get our profits back up, big time.

The Brooklyn Nets are heading to the city of blues as they take on the Memphis Grizzlies in a late game that tips off in almost an hour. The Grizzlies are two-point underdogs at home, and the Brooklyn Nets are looking to take home the win on the road, something they’ve struggled with throughout this season. 

It’s been a season headlined by a sellout at the trade deadline, and they have struggled to win on the road. Good thing for them is that the Grizzlies have struggled to win at home, and have really struggled to score in those games. In fact, as the home underdog this season, the Grizz are a whopping 4-16 in that scenario. 

And while the Nets have really struggled to win on the road, they do have one thing on their side: they’re 12-5 on the season when they’re favored, and that is a testament to them being able to beat really bad teams. 

One thing that they have the power of the money handles on their backs tonight. You can find them around -130 on the moneyline, and here are the betting handles: we have a nice 39% of bets on the Nets to win the game tonight as the away favorite, while they hold 69% (also nice) of the money handle. That’s a killer 30%, which is right in the dimensions that we’re looking for as a betting tool.

As a favorite, they’re a really high-powered offense that feasts on bad defenses; and this Grizzlies team does not hold a candle when they’re an underdog. They allow three more points as underdogs than favorites, and Brooklyn has a really, really good defense when they’re favored, on the backs of Mikal Bridges and Nick Claxton. Let’s look for their defense to be the ones feasting tonight, as the Grizzlies only score 105 points per game when they’re the underdog. Yikes! 

The Nets should come out with a win today, and even if we’re paying a little juice, I’ll take the ML in case anything funky happens. Nets by at least a point, even on the road.
