OVERALL RECORD: 107-102-4, -1.64u
RECAP: Once again, we are slowly climbing out of this hole that we’ve created for ourselves as we go 3-2 on the day including an MLB of the Day banger and a Team Total parlay hit. We got hooked by the Twins and the Astros never came out to play, while the over in Colorado was never in question. We gain .66u on the day and we’re back for more today with an early slate and a late slate.

June 19th, 2024

The fireworks have been out at Coors Field all year long and the past two days have been no different, including two high-powered and high-scoring games to begin this series between the Rockies and their division foes in Los Angeles. Between the last two games, there have been 44 runs scored… we’re looking to add more than eleven to that total tonight.

The Rockies are throwing Ryan Feltner, who has just had a rough go of it at home this season. Through six games at home, he’s allowing 1.6 batters to reach base per inning, among the worst in the league at home. As well, he’s been less than desirable at letting those batters cross home plate, as he’s allowed literally almost a run per inning pitched this season when he’s inside Coors. The weather has been great in Coors over the past two days, and that’s looking to stay the same, as it’s going to be just below 70 degrees at first pitch.

Bobby Miller is pitching for the Dodgers, and while he’s a pitcher I absolutely love (and is going to shove for a long time), I can’t imagine that he’ll have a long leash after being on the IL since the beginning of April. And in his starts, he’s been really good – but he won’t be able to last against these high-powered bats at Coors for very long. I would be very surprised if he made it out of the fourth inning today, just based on rehab and pitch count evaluations.

And just looking at the pure hitting numbers of these teams, there is due to be more runs scored tonight. The Dodgers are getting on base almost 36% of the time, the best in the league over the past ten days, and the Rockies just aren’t too far behind them; they’re getting on base nearly 32% of the time. That, combined with the awful WHIP of Ryan Felter at home, should be able to power us to victory in this high total that we’re eyeing today.

Let’s take the over in Coors because of these high-powered offenses. Heck, the Dodgers nearly put this up yesterday; they’re going to cook again today.

PICK: Los Angeles / Colorado over 11
