CFL BETTING MODEL FOR JULY 8, 2023

Well, folks, Calgary came out of the gate blazing yesterday, charging ahead with a 10-1 lead after the first quarter. But then, it was like they decided to clock out early, and from there, it was nothing but a steady downhill slide.

Turning our attention to tonight, we've got a lone match-up on the docket. While there's a little bit of value lurking around the Tiger Cats, I can't say it's got me dancing on the tables.

Here's the lay of the land: the Hamilton Tiger-Cats are holding the home-field advantage, plus they've had an extra week up their sleeve to ready themselves for battle. That explains why they're the book's favorites. But let's not let that mask the hard truth - the Tiger-Cats have been grappling with issues on both sides of the ball. Their defense seems to have sprung a leak, failing to put up much of a fight against their adversaries, and the offense is equally wobbly, tossing the ball over to the other team with alarming regularity.

So, while on paper the Tiger-Cats might seem like the smart bet, the reality paints a different picture however the books raw projection is at -3.5 might have been wrong here since the number did drop from -3 to -2.5 and finally -2.
