Anthony P's CFL Model Aug 5, 2023
We will add new sports and models as we build the app and make it more robust. While our developers work on that, we want to give you as much information as possible via content and articles.
This betting model is derived directly from a source that provides me with all the information for the Sharp Report which I trust implicitly. This model serves as a foundation for determining and handling game lines and totals. As with any model, it incorporates a statistical analysis of both teams, including factors such as injuries and home-field advantage. The distinctive advantage of this model is the inclusion of adjustments based on public perception and early market evaluation. However, it's important to note that this model doesn't accommodate last-minute adjustments. Therefore, for the most accurate and up-to-date advice, I encourage you to reach out to me directly on my Discord channel.

CFL BETTING MODEL FOR AUG 5, 2023

Calgary is leading by 10 as we hit halftime. The game is far from over, but with a betting edge of +9, things are looking sunny for the Stampeders. Can they pull off a straight-up upset over the Argos? There's still a whole lot of football left on the clock, but from where I'm sitting, a cover is looking pretty good.
Now, onto Saturday's game. The line's been stubborn as a mule, not moving an inch since July 31st, but let's not ignore the wild ride it's been on before that. The Cats opened at -3 back on the end of July 30, dropped to a pick'em the very next day, and then, when night fell, the line swung to -2.5 for Montreal.
Let's dive into some stats: The Alouettes are 22-6-1 ATS in their last 29 Saturday games. They’re 5-2 ATS when up against a team with a losing record, and they’ve posted an impressive 25-12 ATS in their last 37 road games. On the flip side, the Tiger-Cats are 3-8-2 ATS in their last 13 August games and 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games following an ATS win.
Both Montreal and Hamilton have had their moments to shine this season, but consistency remains as elusive as a greased pig at a county fair.
My gut's telling me this game will likely stay under the total. The Tiger-Cats have been about as secure as a wet paper bag, struggling to hold onto the ball, and they're bound to have a tough time making headway against Montreal's defense.
This could be a prime opportunity to back Montreal. Despite the challenge of playing on the road, the Alouettes have already proven they have the chops to rein in Hamilton. Sure, the Tiger-Cats are hungry for revenge after a 38-12 loss to Montreal on their home turf earlier this season, and we've seen how the Bombers tore the Lions a new one in a similar situation just Thursday night. But while I expect the Tiger-Cats to put up more of a fight this time around, I'm tipping my hat to Montreal to secure another victory in this series of division rivals.
MODEL Bets: Anthony's Play: Montreal -2.5Good luck
