Anthony P's CFL Model Aug 4, 2023

We will add new sports and models as we build the app and make it more robust. While our developers work on that, we want to give you as much information as possible via content and articles.

This betting model is derived directly from a source that provides me with all the information for the Sharp Report which I trust implicitly. This model serves as a foundation for determining and handling game lines and totals. As with any model, it incorporates a statistical analysis of both teams, including factors such as injuries and home-field advantage. The distinctive advantage of this model is the inclusion of adjustments based on public perception and early market evaluation. However, it's important to note that this model doesn't accommodate last-minute adjustments. Therefore, for the most accurate and up-to-date advice, I encourage you to reach out to me directly on my Discord channel.

CFL BETTING MODEL FOR AUG 4, 2023

We're about to do a deep dive into tonight's CFL showdown between the Calgary Stampeders and the Toronto Argonauts. If you put your dough on the Lions yesterday as I did, we're both licking our wounds. They got absolutely crushed, with the Bombers taking revenge on an old score.

But we're not here to sob over spilled milk; we're here to find our next big play. And let me tell you, it's getting tougher than a QB's helmet to handicap these games, with seven out of nine starters out injured.

But fear not, tonight's got some solid value on the Stampeders. The line's projected at +5.5, and we're now getting a delicious 9 points. It's like finding an untouched plate of nachos in the fourth quarter but do we want it?

The Argonauts are currently sporting an unbeaten streak that would make even a Super Bowl champ blush, standing tall at 6-0. They're looking to extend their win streak to a superb seven, and the Stampeders are the ones standing in their way. But Calgary's no powerhouse this season, struggling at 2-5 and coming off a 25-18 loss to the Montreal Alouettes.

If you're a numbers geek, the Argonauts are 4-0-1 ATS in their last 5 on the road, and the OVER has been hitting pay dirt in 4 of the Argos' last 5 games in August. The Stampeders, on the other hand, are 1-4 ATS in their last 5, and the UNDER has been cashing in 4 of their last 5 against opponents with a winning record.

Now, here's the kicker: the Stampeders are a disappointing 7-22 ATS in their last 29 home games and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games overall. In the meantime, the Argonauts have been kicking butt and covering spreads in six straight games, performing even better on the road. The Stampeders? They've been underperforming offensively, have a defense leakier than a sieve against the run, and have come up empty in all three home games.

I know it's a lot of points for a road team, but there's not much to root for with the Stamps, and there's even less reason to bet against the Argos. Until either team changes their form, I'll be backing the Argos and laying the chalk.

MODEL Bets: Calgary +9
