Cons

  • Will limit bettors on a heater.

Ongoing Promos, Parlays, and Odds Boosts

DraftKings leads the online sports betting industry in means of free-to-play contests. Subscribers can participate in its daily pools that are free and offer cash prizes. They also provide short-term sportsbook promos, parlay boosts, and risk-free bets. DraftKings also has a refer-a-friend bonus worth up to $100 in free casino credits and deposit match bonuses for daily fantasy sports players.

Odds Boosts

The Odds Boosts section on DraftKings provides people with a complete list of available boosts that are currently available. Usually, the boosts they offer are some sort of parlay. For instance, the Rams, Bills, and Packers all win +150 is a boost you might see. You may also see player props such as Derrick Henry and Christian McCaffery, both over 100 rushing yards and 50 yards receiving +250. While some offers and boosts seem appealing, they offer little profitability and lower max bets.

Online Betting Experience

DraftKings' online betting experience is phenomenal. After they completed the migration to SBTech, they were able to provide a similar background like Betway.

Website Experience

DraftKings' website looks excellent. It offers gray text on a dark background, and they even sprinkled in a bit of green to make it flashier. Although they don't have a search option, their site runs smoothly and is user-friendly. Users can find what they are looking for relatively quickly.

Mobile Betting and Betting App

The mobile app has an above-average rating in the app store after being reviewed by more than 250,000 users.

Their app is well-designed and very easy to use. Competitors face difficulties with geolocation, but DraftKings users have reported only a few issues.

Live Betting

Users can enjoy in-play bets on hundreds of sporting events weekly with DraftKings. You can see a list of events covered by clicking the Live-In Game tab. You can also find several live betting markets on different games daily. They even allow their customers to watch a few live games within their mobile app, including soccer, international baseball, and many others, thanks to their partnership with Sportradar.

DraftKings History

Matthew Kalish, Paul Liberman, and Jason Robins started DraftKings in late 2011. Their primary headquarters are in Boston, and they employ nearly 2,600 people. They are constantly growing and plan to open another Las Vegas location. The MLB has an investment stake in DraftKings and is one of their many partners. Then in 2018, DraftKings became the first company to offer legal mobile and online sports betting after the PASPA was deemed unconstitutional.

In 2020, DraftKings announced that they had partnered with ESPN. This partnership made DraftKings the exclusive DFS sports provider and one of the partners for gambling link-outs from the network. DraftKings is available in 17 countries and even offers retail sports betting in collaboration with casinos throughout the country.

Customer Ratings & Reputation

DraftKings has a good reputation amongst bettors. Average Joes even find DraftKings easy to use and trust the product offered. Due to the large DFS foundation, the transition to sports betting was seamless. However, sharp bettors and high-limits bettors will not feel very welcome. Lucky bettors or someone on a tear will likely face limits relatively fast for continuously beating the odds.

Jason Robins, the CEO of DraftKings, has been straightforward about how much he despises winning bettors. His comments and feelings have left customers questioning the company's honesty and integrity. His shenanigans have caused their stock price to drop, and social media has publicly roasted the company.

Customer Service

DraftKings offers horrible customer service. Users don't even have a phone number for issues or complaints. They do offer a web form users can fill out, but response times are hideous. The chatbot they offer has minimal capabilities, and the FAQ sections are challenging to decipher. DraftKings' customer service needs to improve drastically if they plan on retaining customers as their competitors do.

DraftKings Sportsbook Review

There is no doubt that DraftKings is one of the best. They check most of the boxes people are looking for in a sports betting company. They could improve on their customer service, but overall they are considered one of the best options for bettors and DFS players. The company has also been accused of lying and cheating. Combine that with the comments of CEO Jason Robins, and you have serious trust issues with DraftKings. Bettors want a place to bet that is fair and honest, no questions asked.
